There’s no such place.
Inevitable path
Will lead you to an end.
Ineffable desire
won’t last. The aftertaste is rough.
You’re suffocating.
There’s no need to pretend.

A state of solitude,
Unbearable pain.
Oblivion. Another conscious fear.
An open wound.
You feel it all again.
You’re getting closer,
You are almost here.

But open up your eyes
Wherever you will go,
Won’t find it. On the last adventure
You’ll fail. You’ll fall.
And going with the flow
Won’t recognize
your lover in a stranger.

There’s no such place.
An optical illusion
Fata morgana. Stubborn faith in wonder.
Unhealthy dream.
Incomprehension and confusion.
You’re destined or you’re damned
To search and wander.

Thank you for posting! You're destined or you're damned. I quite like that. Sometimes you can be both in equal measure. Destined for uncertainty, wandering, or just being damned.

Absolutely! Sometimes you just don't know. Or it depends on your personal outlook. Still an open ending though.
