"More Appreciation For Trees Is Due"
It's a still Elm that stands solemn
at the edge of the wood.
I couldn't tell you how long
its stood its solemn vigil,
nor the things its seen
in all its years.
To the birds and field mice,
it's sacred. It must be. How could it not?
To me though, it's just another tree.
at the edge of the wood.
I couldn't tell you how long
its stood its solemn vigil,
nor the things its seen
in all its years.
To the birds and field mice,
it's sacred. It must be. How could it not?
To me though, it's just another tree.
